We departed Congdon Creek and headed south for Haines, AK. And found there were a couple of surprises waiting.
The first surprise was the weather. It was forecast to rain south of Congden Creek so we expected rain for about half the ride. Instead, lots of sun and no rain. Wonderful! Definitely something to be thankful for
The second surprise was the Haines road. We expected the road to be a route to Haines and nothing else. Instead, we found some of the best scenery and riding of the entire trip. For me, it was moved to my #1 road.
